Description:
In this class we will keep your bottoms arms free (so they can be as bratty as they want) and give tying pairs some unique patterns that aren’t part of Studio Friction’s existing curriculum. This class will give students the opportunity to learn three, arms free chest harness patterns in one session. Each of these harnesses is suspendible and can also be useful for ground ties.
The class will cover the pros and cons of arms free harnesses vs. arms bound harnesses, as well as the safety considerations. Riggers will learn new patterns and the sustainability of each while bottoms will be able to experience and give feedback on the comfort, and compression of how each harness feels on them. If time allows, the instructors will guide students on how to test each harness under load using an upline.
Required Pre-requisites & Equipment:
Every tying pair will need about 3-4 (8 meter or similar) lengths of rope in good condition, and a cutting implement. An aftercare blanket and/or pillow is optional but nice to have. If time allows, those who want to test out their harnesses under tension may stay after to do that, so suspension gear is optional as well. Feel free to bring all of your gear as there is a Saturday Rope Night event right after class.
Preferred Pre-requisites:
The pace of this class will be fairly quick in order to have time to cover all of the ties, which puts this intensive in the intermediate/advanced category. Please come with knowledge of single column ties, basic knots and frictions, as well as previous work tying chest harnesses. An understanding of the importance of placement and tension will be helpful as well

Kennedy Be Mine

Kennedy is queer, kinky and an avid self-suspender! Kennedy took her first rope class at studio friction in 2022 and has been tying ever since. They especially enjoy blending nerdy cosplay with shibari and loves the way rope can make every, body feel amazing.
Smitten
(she/her)
Smitten identifies as a queer, kinky, polyam, service, top-leaning rope switch. Smitten has been immersed in the Denver kink and rope community since 2017. She is a perpetual rope student and has been a rope educator, pretty much since she tied her first single column.
