Class Description:

Understanding intent is a critical component of rope play. Whether you're scening, performing, labbing, or creating rope art, intent is always involved in any of these modalities whether you're consciously aware or not. In this virtual discussion, pandoradreams will lead a discussion revolving around the concept of intent - what is it, what are the different types of intent we may encounter in scenes/performance/lab time/etc, and how do we establish and maintain intent in each of these modalities. We will discuss the importance of establishing intent before each rope encounter and methods in which we can create intent and translate intention to our partners while we're doing rope. pandoradreams strongly believes that rope isn't just about a set of ties, patterns, and pretty suspensions - it also involves a set of emotions and intentions that make each encounter unique and special, so she is excited to discuss this topic with the community in this engaging discussion.

This discussion will be geared towards all roles - tops, bottoms, and switches - as intent can vary among these roles and may have different meanings depending on how you identify. All ability levels are welcome as the information being discussed will apply to you, no matter where you call on the rope spectrum.
