Pleasure, Pain, and Mindfucks

Class Description:

Rope bondage is not just following a pattern, but that’s how we’ve typically learned how to tie. Move beyond following a pattern in this class to add pain, pleasure, and mindfucks to you and your partner’s tying experience. Explore the many possibilities that come when you play with both the physical and mental state of your partner in rope. We like to refer to this as the ‘choose your own adventure’ approach which gives us a solid base for any scene.

We will cover some fun ways to play with your partners senses to further enhance the experience. We will lead a series of exercises focused on each area; starting with pleasure and moving on to pain and mindfucks, and ending with combining them all together into a partial suspension sequence.

Pre-requisites: chest harness, futo, load line management for a partial suspension. Recommended: 6-8 lengths of rope, blindfold, 1 length of 2mm rope or paracord (optional) (Feel free to contact us on Fet to practice these skills at a Studio Friction open lab before this class.)

About Our Presenters:

Algalon and C_haos are a Denver based duo of shibari advocacy and education. Often focusing on the balance between aibunawa (caressing rope) and semenawa (torture rope), they bring about a fun and playful energy to their classes. Their methodology place great emphasis on the fact that rope is a tool used to communicate your emotions, your intention, and your feelings towards your partner. They believe that the power of good communication is key to developing strong rope partnerships, intimacy and being able to ask not just what your partner is feeling, but rather what state of mind are they in when they feel it. Together they are constantly learning, and sharing their knowledge and passion of rope (and tacos!) through multiple cities in Colorado.
