Surrender & Melt: A Conscious Kink Play Party

This is an intimate heart-centered experiential play party that will allow you to Surrender to your desires.

Surrender and Melt is a unique kind of event, one where we strive to create a heart-centered community. This is an event for those who yearn to be in intimate communal space together, those who have always wanted to attend a play party but have felt too nervous, those who don't have a partner and feel shy to show up solo, those who have a partner or partners that want to experience being in community together, and for the sexually adventurous souls. Together we will create the safest possible sex-positive container to melt into curiosity, play, and pleasure!

In the opening circle, you will be guided through a series of group exercises as a part of the Embodied Consent Workshop that will allow you to Surrender and Melt into the layers of embodied consent, desire, and sensation. During the opening exercises, participants will have the opportunity to create meaningful connections with one another. It also helps us all get on the same consent page, whichcan help free us to ask for what we really want (and possibly get it) in the play time later.  With our warmth rising and juicy connections made, the night will shift from structured and facilitated to open and free, where you can explore our tasteshops and melt your inhibitions through play and interaction. This is a "don't do anything you don't want to do" and "only consensually do what you want to do" event. 

The nature of this workshop and event could help you find tender parts, discomfort, or your edges–whether you are new to these events or experienced. Please be aware and prepared to lean in, learn, and be supported. We encourage you to be vulnerable and courageous in the face of new experiences and trust yourself that what you will glean on the other side will likely be profound. The Facilitators will be there to offer support and grounding as needed; we also have designated Angels to assist and to support your process, but not do the work for you. 

Together, we will create a space where your desire, curiosity, learning, and consensual exploration are welcomed and celebrated.

Facilitated by Kat Rose, Marji Kizmahas, and David Hawke, who were all trained by Hazel-Grace. Along with co-facilitators Nate Switchtext and Amanda, they will continue to host transformative play parties at Studio Friction and other venues in Colorado.

Kat Rose (She, Her) is a kinky, sex positive activist whose polyamorous heart loves performing, facilitating and supporting sensual events. Her life's mission is to be a beacon of unconditional love, and to share that love by supporting people in their full expression in expansive, luscious containers. She is an operations and organizational wizard who has a knack for bringing visions of all scales and flavors to life. Her background in tarot and the mystic supports these missions.

Marji Kizmahas (She, Her) is a queer, poly kinkster who sees connectedness as fundamental for well-being, and kink and eroticism as powerful tools for exploring connection. She has worked in healthcare for most of her life, and has been dedicated to supporting local kink and leather communities for over a decade in various volunteer and leadership roles. She delights in serving as a fairy kink mother and co-creating experiences that encourage vulnerability and shared intensity. 

Hawke (He, Him)is poly and has been in the kink/leather community since 2008. He is a kink educator, presenter, and performer throughout the Denver Metro and Colorado Springs areas. He is a servant leader with experience organizing/facilitating events and empowering authentic self-realization. He has a passion for creating spaces to help others find acceptance and explore desires in alternative lifestyles.

Tattooed N Nerdy (She, Her) is a total sex nerd, both personally and professionally. In her vanilla time, she provides education about kink, sexuality, consensual non-monogamy, intimacy, desire, and navigating trauma recovery. As a polyamorous relationship anarchist, she adores watching connections blossom into whatever they are, without expectation or obligation. Throughout all aspects of her life, she is an intersectional and sex-positive provocateur hoping to instigate thoughtful dialogue and dispel shame related to all things kinky and sexy. 

Nate/Switchtext (He, Him) is a creative human and co-founder of Studio Friction. For years, he has passionately taught rope bondage, and delights in helping people discover its marvels. He is dedicated to fostering more pleasure and creativity in sensual spaces, viewing sexy parties as a form of artistic expression. A lifelong student of creativity, rope, connection, sensuality, and sexuality, Nate continues to explore strange places and share what he’s discovered.
