Description:
This series is meant to give you the basics to step into using rope bondage at home safely, as well as be able to learn other floor-based topics.
By the end of the Beginner 2 series, students will be able to:
- Explain the benefits and drawbacks to each type of single column
- Build a TK that maintains proper tension and structure
- Learn appropriate suspension hardware
- Tie an effective and sustainable hip harness
- Tie an effective and sustainable arms-free chest harness
- Understand ways to incorporate arms into an arms-free harness
- Gain an initial understanding of a 3-rope TK
Equipment:
4 to 6 - 30' lengths of rope
About our instructors:
GoodFoxy (she/they)
GoodFoxy (she/they) has been in love with shibari for close to three years. She was thankfully introduced to it as a bottom by a friend and tied and learned with that friend for some time before stepping into the rope community via Studio Friction. After taking curriculum classes with the intention of bottoming, GoodFoxy soon found a desire to learn to tie quickly becoming clear. And thus began her journey to learn to tie, to find herself as both a bottom and a top, and to joyfully fall deeper in love with shibari.
GoodFoxy values human connection and complexity, relationship, equity, education, aesthetics, sensory experience, challenge, novelty, and passion (to start ). They identify as a cis, queer/bi, poly, kinky, femme, rope switch who is also a single mom, burlesque dancer, fitness instructor, and psychologist.

Important Registration Information:
- All attendees must register and pay online, no admittance or registration at the door.
- Photo ID is required to be admitted and must match the name listed in your online registration.
- You must be 19 years of age or older to attend events at Studio Friction.
- No refunds or credits on cancellations within 24 hours of event (contact us for extenuating circumstances - if you are sick, please stay home)

- It is the responsibility of the attendees to be on time for the class. If you realize you will be late, please get in touch with the instructor as soon as possible.

- If you will miss a class, it is your responsibility to contact your instructor about making up the missed class. Make-up classes are offered at the instructors' discretion.
COVID-19 RESTRICTIONS:
- All attendees must sign a COVID waiver as part of online registration and submit to a symptom check including a no touch temperature check.
- Mask optional with proof of full COVID vaccination (e.g. CDC COVID Vaccination Card - original card, clear photograph or photocopy, CIIS immunization record, myVaccine in the myColorado app). The name on your vaccine documentation must match the name on your photo ID.
- Full vaccination is defined as a minimum of two weeks post 2nd dose of the Pfizer/BioNTech or Moderna vaccines, or single dose of the Johnson & Johnson vaccine.
- You only have to show your vaccination record once. Feel free to email it to office@studiofriction.com ahead of the event if you prefer. We will not be making any copies, just marking that it was checked.
- Members who are not fully vaccinated, are unvaccinated, or do not wish to show proof of vaccination are still welcome at Studio Friction, but will be asked to wear a mask at all times when in the space.
- If you need help finding a vaccine or scheduling a vaccine appointment, please reach out to office@studiofriction.com, and we will do our best to help you.
- Hand and surface sanitizer will be available throughout the studio
