Class Description:
"But if they're upside down, how do you fuck them?"
In this class, we will discuss some successful experiences we've had combining suspension and penetrative sex. Some fundamental principles, such as body positioning and sustainability, will be discussed. From there, we'll have several options for different experience levels. First, a floor tie will be demonstrated, and then we will move on to a suspension sequence that has many poses that can be enjoyed.
This class can be participated in regardless of gender or "organic" nature of the penetrative device. For the purpose of this class, we'll demonstrate ties where the person tying will be doing the penetration and the person in the rope will be on the receiving end. While our floor tie is available to most skill levels, the suspension is more advanced. This will require sufficient technical ability to perform transitions. Riggers should have suspension experience, knowledge of upline management, and sufficient understanding of tensioning in harnesses. For people being tied, any chest harness that can be loaded from the front, side, and back can be used. Again, suspension and transition experience is needed for the second half of the class. Please do not tie above your skill level.
Prerequisites and Equipment:
-Suspension experience (both tops AND bottoms INCLUDING TRANSITIONS)
-Suspension gear (e.g. ring, rigging plate, carabiners, etc.)
-Cutting tool
-3 to 4 synthetic load lines are recommended.
-Carabiners or rings to use at the harness are recommended
About the Instructors:
Matt/Shosty9 (he/him)
Matt has been a part of the Denver rope community since 2018. Having an engineering mind he cares less about the how of rope and more about the why. Breaking patterns down into their core components and understanding their interaction has guided his understanding. This also informs how he teaches, ensuring students gain a functional understanding rather than copying by rote. In addition to interests in rope and rope education, Matt's interests include primal play, knives, and breath play.
athena/ghost_sonata (she/her)
Since discovering kink eight years ago, athena has rounded out her vanilla life by exploring power exchange, giggly masochism, and plenty of time in rope. A highly sensitive rope slut with an insatiable appetite for novelty, she has had the pleasure of discovering the many different modalities rope has to offer with trusted and intimate partners.
