Studio Friction's Rope Bondage Series

Beginner course 2

COST per Tying Pair: New Member Price* - $200 | WRAPPED Members - $150 | Tied Members - $125 | Bound Members - $100

Instructors: Avid and Avalanche

When: Thursdays 7-9 PM March 17, 24, 31, and April 7

This is meant to be a continuing course after you take Beginner 1.

Description:

This series is meant to give you the basics to step into using rope bondage at home safely, as well as be able to learn other floor-based topics.

By the end of the Beginner 2 series, students will be able to:

  1. Explain the benefits and drawbacks to each type of single column
  2. Build a TK that maintains proper tension and structure
  3. Learn appropriate suspension hardware
  4. Tie an effective and sustainable hip harness
  5. Tie an effective and sustainable arms-free chest harness
  6. Understand ways to incorporate arms into an arms-free harness
  7. Gain an initial understanding of a 3-rope TK

Equipment:

4 to 6 - 30' lengths of rope

About our instructors:

Avid

Avid (they/them) ties others, ties themself, and gets tied by others. They've been learning rope since 2015 and have been involved in the public community since 2018. A passionate educator by trade, Avid is excited to facilitate experiences and education for folx who are newer to the wide world of rope.

  • All attendees must register and pay online, no admittance or registration at the door.

  • No refunds or credits on cancellations within 24 hours of the first class (contact us for extenuating circumstances, stay home if you're sick).
  • It is the responsibility of the attendees to be on time for the class. If you realize you will be late, please get in touch with the instructor as soon as possible.

COVID-19 RESTRICTIONS:

    • All attendees must sign a COVID waiver as part of online registration and submit to a symptom check including a no touch temperature check.
    • Masks required for all attendees in this course, regardless of vaccination status.
    • Hand sanitizer and surface sanitizer will be available throughout the studio.
