About the class:

This unique class will give you the opportunity to learn two hip harness patterns in one session. While each of these harnesses is designed to be suspendible they are also very useful for ground ties. We will split the class in half and take turns at each station. 

Hip harnesses are one of the most valuable and versatile tools when suspending. They can support most or all of a person's weight and can act as an easy escape route if things start going wrong. They are fundamental to many sequences and are a foundational building block for those who are learning.

Shosty9 and Athena will teach the bones and rope hip harness:

This is a solid hip harness many of us at SF use regularly, it suspends really well when properly tensioned, and many find it very sustainable for long periods. In this class Ma will be teaching the bones and rope hip harness. It is a waist loading harness that is extremely stable. It holds up well to load from different directions while being comfortable and a simpler pattern. It requires about 2 full lengths to tie. 

This pattern originated with Fred Hatt and Anna Bones of Anatomie Studios in London

Goddess_Sphinx and GoodFoxy will teach the peach hip harness:

This pattern originated with Tifereth who developed it to load the waist and thighs and not just the hips. It incorporates a smart way to tension the harness with deflection. It also makes your ass look really great. 

Prerequisites:

Basic knowledge of a single column tie and basic frictions will help you follow along with the class, but you may be able to gather these as you go.

Equipment:

Every tying pair will need about 3-4 (8 meter or similar) lengths of rope in good condition, and a cutting implement. An aftercare blanket and/or pillow is optional but nice to have.

Matt has been part of the Denver kink and rope communities for over a year. He is a top whose focus is connection with partners. He also enjoys getting maximal effect from simple implements. Interests include rope, primal play, and knifes. Major teachers are @CreativeMayhem and @Strawberrypulp.

Athena / ghost_sonata

(She, Her)

Since discovering kink six years ago, athena has rounded out her vanilla life by exploring power exchange, giggly masochism, and plenty of time in rope. A highly sensitive rope slut with an insatiable appetite for novelty, she has had the pleasure of discovering the many different modalities rope has to offer with trusted and intimate partners. 

A consent enthusiast, relational junkie, and liberal feminist killjoy, athena has shared her passion with others while teaching about rope, power dynamics, sexuality, feminism, kink, and personal transformation in many cities across the United States.

Goddess_Sphinx

(She, Her)

Godess_Sphinx is an eclectic kinkster who recently started a love affair with rope bondage. She strives to bring a deep presence and enthusiasm to each moment and loves to seek out new experiences. A fan of bondage and power dynamics, she brings to the table a strong knowledge of how bodies and minds work. Goddess_Sphinx continues to work towards achieving integration of her kinky self and revels in her journey. 

IMPORTANT - for our friends safety and health:

• All attendees must register and pay online to reduce exposure for our volunteers at the door

• All attendees must sign a covid waiver and submit to a symptom check including a no touch temperature check

• All attendees must wear masks in the studio at all times per the Colorado state mandate

• The studio will be disinfected twice a week, and commonly touched surfaces will be cleaned during the event

• Hand sanitizer and surface sanitizer will be available thru out the studio
