Studio Friction's Rope Bondage Series

Beginner Course 1

You are brand new to rope, but you know you are interested, maybe even excited?  Well, you found the right place to start.

Cost/Tying Pair: New Member Price - $125 per tying pair | WRAPPED Member Price - $120 per tying pair | TIED Price - $100 | BOUND Price - $90
Instructors:  DVSRopeGirl and Cumulus_Nimbus
When: Mondays 7-9pm, May 3, 10, 17, & 24

Description:  This series is meant to give you the basics to step into using rope bondage at home safely, as well be able to learn other floor based topics in outside classes.

By the end of Beginner 1 four week series, students will be able to:

1. Identify the benefits and drawbacks to various types of rope
2. Perform at least three different types of rope safety check, in appropriate situations
3. Confidently negotiate with new and existing partners
4. Seek and respect consent for sexual and non-sexual play activities
5. Tie a Somerville Bowline single column tie that will not collapse
6. Tie a reverse tension chest harness with appropriate tension
7. Tie a double column that won’t collapse
8. Tie a bunny ears arm binder 
9. Gain an initial understanding of shoulder mobility 
10. Tie a spiral futomomo
11. Understand the purpose and function of frictions
12. Gain an initial understanding of a 2-rope TK
 

Requirements: 2 to 4 - 30' lengths of rope - no experience needed

About our instructors:

DVSRopeGirl

(she/her/hers)

DVSRopeGirl fell into ropes at a vanilla fetish ball over ten years ago, which led to a wide array of experiences in rope from bottoming to topping, to just doing ridiculous stuff. She periodically disappears from the scene, but always misses the great people in the community and finds herself back in touch with this part of herself.  Rope is a great way to challenge yourself and others and to find those ah ha moments you didn't know you were looking for but curiously discovered.

Cumulus_Nimbus

Cumulus_Nimbus is an ever exploring sub that likes to keep trying new things.  He got a taste for self suspension and rope bondage and developed an appreciation for it as well as an ambitious drive for continued exploration in rope. Yoni additionally aids in creative pursuits in making art which showcases masculine submission with recent focuses in rope.


For our friends safety and health:

• All attendees must register and pay online to reduce exposure for our volunteers at the door

• All attendees must sign a covid waiver and submit to a symptom check including a no touch temperature check

• All attendees must wear masks in the studio at all times and maintain 6' social distance per current Colorado state mandate

• The studio is disinfected twice weekly, and commonly touched surfaces will be cleaned during the event

• Hand sanitizer and surface sanitizer will be available thru out the studio
