Class Description:

Consent is perhaps the single most important aspect of BDSM. It provides the necessary foundation for everything we do in kink, and is what differentiates our practices from abuse. In order to ensure that informed consent has been freely given, it is important to understand the various styles of negotiation, and to regularly examine and improve your negotiation practices.

What does consent mean to you? How do you know that your partner has consented to a given activity, or that you have given your own informed consent? How do you ensure consent is maintained throughout a scene? Through a collaborative discussion, we will work to answer these questions and more. The beauty of this class is that it is always a little different. The individual participants all bring varied experiences and unique points of view to the discussion table. Come with your questions, stories, and personal experience, and we will work together to further our understanding of informed consent and negotiation best practices.
