Class Description:

This class will cover some of the most commonly used knots and frictions in shibari. These must-have basics are the building blocks that will enable you to create more advanced patterns and ties.
For this class it would be great if you already know at least one single column tie, but we will review for those who do not. This class can be taken with or without a partner. During the class we will cover: 

2 types of single columns
reverse tension
x friction
half hitch
half moon friction
full stop
munter hitch
reverse munter
L friction
lark’s head & flipped lark’s head for connecting rope

Smitten has completed 5 levels of curriculum at Studio Friction and has been tying and teaching curriculum courses for the last two years. She also attends community classes and rope cons whenever possible. Smitten loves teaching and introducing new folks to rope and embraces rope for its unique connective qualities and unlimited creativity.
