Hedwig loves to explore the space where bodies are reaching out and listen to eachother through creativity & desire. Rope has proved itself to be especially useful for this practice. She is a queer feminist, switchy, sadistic femme, born, raised and currently residing in Sweden.
Hedwig is passionate about communication, rope bondage, safer sex and consent culture, about redressing notions of power, physical sensations, vulnerability, dominance and submission, gender and communities working together.
She hopes to bring rope bondage to a larger audience as she believe it has the capacity to create ways to communicate, both with emotional and physical sensation, offering routes to pleasure & a playful exploration of desire, creativity, surrender & movement. As an educator, Hedwig focus on the mutual experience, embracing an inclusive and open atmosphere where the topics at hand are approached both with respect as well as a sense of humor. She strives towards creating integrated learning spaces, where she hopes that her experience as a switch can bring multiple perspectives to everyone attending on either side of the ropes.
Hedwig is a former member of the crew of Peer Rope London, current member of the crew of Peer Rope Malmö and Hitchin’ Bitches Oresund, as well as founding member and grand poobah of Hitchin’ Bitches. She is also a founding member of Ropework.Org, a meta event for rope educators, performers and organisers. She has taught & performed at various venues across Europe & North America since 2011 while also running the Rope Attic in Malmo (Sweden) a space for learning & sharing rope.
In 2011 Hedwig wrote her undergraduate thesis on Shibari, you can read that thesis by clicking here. She is currently being active as a sex educator, activist and generally being a pain in the butt of patriarchy.
Rox is a fix-it femme, kitchen witch and joyful provocateur, Roz is fascinated by the interplay of rope, embodiment, and radical politics. Over the last decade they've focused on unpacking the (un)helpful assumptions we bring to our rope practice and building better ties through body awareness. Roz has presented at events small and big, ranging from intimate weekend intensives to Bondage Expo Dallas, Westcoast Bound, and the NELA Fetish Flea. When not making undignified faces in rope, Roz tweets as @lastnora and can be found on FetLife as ordinals.
