Class Description:

Our current political climate and social system is bubbling with conversations about consent. Conversations about sexual assault and harassment are on the rise. Even within our own communities, these discussions are reverberating. The major thing that differentiates kink from abuse is consent. So how do we keep ourselves and our partners safe?

It’s important that as players in this scene, we’re well-equipped to handle negotiations safely and effectively. In this class, Athena will lead participants through some dynamic and relational games designed to evoke situations to practice saying no and asserting boundaries, as well as share some basics for consent and negotiation to keep your rope scenes safe, sane, and consensual. Come prepared to play, share your experiences, and brush up your negotiation skills!

This class is open to individuals of any experience level. There will be no tying in the class. 

About our presenter:

Athena grew up as the good girl, following the conventional script set by her family and society.

Torn between an empty marriage and tug of her transgressive fantasies, she began researching
BDSM online. You know, “researching.” For science. 

She has found kink transformative in the way she relates to others, cares for herself, and pursues an adventurous life which fulfills her unique gifts and passions.

She has shared her passion for open communication over the last four years, teaching about relationships dynamics, sexuality, and personal transformation in cities across the United States.
